MWRC lawyer, Aleksandra Tasevska, held  a presentation on the criminal aspect of the domestic violence for 28 NGO representatives who deal with women's rights,  where it was given a professional overview of the implementation of the free legal aid service through legal counseling and court representation in criminal  and civil proceedings.

The training also served to present MWRC  work  in that area, and to share experience with the other attending organizations, as  well as to introduce them with the process of legal protection for the  victims of domestic violence. Training participants evaluated the training very positively, stressing the opportunity that the training has given to them, and that is getting familiar with new aspects of the free legal aid service.

''According to the  newly adopted Law on Free Legal Aid which was adopted int he end of the last year, and having in mind the fact of our work so far in the field of free  legal aid,  we plan on obtaining also license by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Macedonia,  in order to continue providing this service as official body, for our target groups’’, said project manager in MWRC, Nade Kachakova.
